First things first. I am no journalist, nor am I an English major, so with that being said, I have no experience blogging nor will my English be the best. This is my first blog ever, so here it goes...
My Gallery and the World as its Showcase
Have you ever looked outside of your bedroom window and stared at the trees swaying back and forth? Have you ever asked yourself, how can trees stand the test of time and still last a bitter storm? When I was a wee little lad, I thought that maybe one day I would become an ecologist and study the trees or study the world in which we live. Trees fascinated me, I think the reason people never noticed trees was because there were so many of them. If you look close enough trees, just like people, have stories to tell. In South Dakota there is large population of Buffalo. The trees that occupy their habitat have large sections of bark removed because the buffalo use the bark to scratch their sides. Another example comes from the television show called "Bones". Dr. Temperance Brennan, played by Emily Deschanel, is a character in the show "Bones" that is shown on Fox on Thursday nights. She is mesmerized by the bodies that are observed during murder investigations. In some ways she even feels an emotional connection with the victims from the atrocities that are evident on the bones. She always reminds the audience that bones tell a story. Certain characteristics on the surface explain abuse or medical treatment. The same can be said about the Earth.
The world is a magnificent creation for each one of us to mesmerize over. Have you ever been to the Grand Tetons located in Northwestern Wyoming or to the Grand Canyon located in Arizona? These are only two of a host of grand characteristics which our enormous Earth contains and each characteristic tells a story about its past.
The world is the grand showcase with its numerous mysteries and characteristics which are unique and separate in their own little way.
I encourage you to go outside, take a deep breath of fresh air, and have a closer glimpse of what nature has to offer that many people, myself included, take for granted in this magnificent world that God has designed...
